  1. G'day Dave. There has been a lot of speculation here about the picture. Some are saying it's a fake photo. If you look at the people in the boat, they don't seem to be very frightened of such a large animal being so close to them and they don't appear to all be looking at it. If I was in that boat and saw that monster just a few feet away, I would be backing up very fast to put a bit of distance between myself and it, which I think most people's reaction would be. But, in saying all this Dave, these crocs can and sometimes do grow monstrously large and it is not uncommon to get one over the 4-5 metre mark, which they say this one is. Now of course, not all crocs grow to that size and these animals are only in certain parts of Oz, thankfully. They are very common up the top part of Australia. I don't know if this pic is a trick, but on the national news this morning, folks were sending in pics they had taken of crocs and believe me if I ever get up to the top end, I won't be swimming anywhere these beauties are. Some are bloody HUGE. Over the years some massive ones have been captured, so it's not unreasonable that the photo is real, it's more the people's reaction that doesn't look right to me....Take care. Liz...

  2. Yeah I agree, I know there are some huge crocs out there but this one just seemed so large to me, correct me if I'm wrong but they are salt water crocs which unless I'm wrong are the world's largest, but from the one in that pic, it had to be one of the biggest captured by any form of media ie: photo, video whatever, To quote a hero of mine and a late countryman of yours, "Krikey"
